  • As a sector, one of the State's largest employers with more than 30,000 faculty and staff members
  • Over 76,000 students, 57% of whom are from Tennessee,
    • Including 10,792 Tennesseans who receive the Pell Grant (a federal award for low-income students), which is 45% of full-time Tennessee undergraduate students
Founded in 1956, TICUA engages Tennessee's private colleges to work collaboratively in areas of public policy, cost containment, and professional development to serve better the State and its citizens.
