The Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is a system of interrelated surveys designed to collect information from all institutions and educational organzations whose primary purpose is to provide postsecondary education.
These surveys are maintained by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and encompass such areas enrollment, program completions, faculty, staff and finances.
The Association of Institutional Research has created tutorial pages for the IPEDS web-based data collection system. This resource is designed to assist users with their IPEDS data at the institutional level, using survey-specific tutorials. These tutorials will help the users identify sources at these institutions where the data can be found, as well as give them guidance in the best practices of reporting and reviewing their data.
