TICUA Procurement Program - Microsoft

TICUA and Microsoft are offering two low-cost solutions to computer software costs.

The Microsoft Campus Agreement 3.5 offers institutions an opportunity to purchase Microsoft products at a deeply discounted rate by simply purchasing a license for each knowledge acquisition FTE. The Campus Agreement is effective July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. ComputerLand of Silicon Valley serves as our reseller for all Microsoft agreements.  Enrollment for this program is held in May and June.  Faculty and staff may purchase Microsoft products for work-at-home use at a reduced rate by going to http://msca.foundationccc.org/.  If you have any questions regarding our Campus Agreement please contact us.

The Microsoft Academic Select 6.6 Program is a volume licensing solution that allows organizations to simplify software license administration by forecasting their three-year requirements for Microsoft software and then licensing software as needed during the term of the membership agreement.  Each school that desires access to the Microsoft Academic Select 6.6 agreement must complete an enrollment form (contact Jeff Koh for more information).

Program Benefits:
All participating TICUA schools will enjoy the following benefits when ordering from ComputerLand of Silicon Valley under the Microsoft Academic Select Program:
  1. Major cost savings as compared to Academic Open pricing (15%-20%)
  2. Cost effective method of obtaining server and product licenses not covered under the Microsoft campus agreement (i.e., Project, Visio Pro or Windows Server licenses) for school with campus agreement.  Most software products are available for purchase by schools without a Microsoft campus agreement as well.
  3. A three year Software Assurance program to ensure that the latest technology is always available.
  4. It provides the colleges with simplified administration through a single licensing agreement under the consortia and easy license confirmation upon receipt of the PO.
  5. Volume license product keys are provided for immediate access to additional copies of software licenses when needed.  Media-CD fulfillment can be turned around within a few days.
  6. No minimum order requirements for licenses to be purchased.
  7. Easy online access to part numbers and pricing as well as online ordering.
The instructions to access the website to obtain the Select part numbers and pricing are as follows: http://www.uscollegebuy.com once at the home page:
1)       Select the desired store (i.e., Microsoft…) Then, scroll down to select the Institutional Customers link followed by the name of your school. This will then take you directly to the Microsoft Select Academic Product list menu.
2)       Select the appropriate category (i.e., License/Software Assurance Pack, Standard License, Microsoft media-cd & Docs…) followed by the desired license part number and pricing.
3)       You can then add the various items to the shopping cart.
4)       Be sure to order the optional media-cd (which does NOT come with the license) under the media-cd & doc category as you will need it for software deployment if you do not have it already.
5)       Once you have selected all the products you need and add to the shopping cart, you can then select the Create a quote option then print out a quote and submit to your purchasing department for PO generation and order from us.

You can also select the Create an order option if you wish to purchase online directly with a credit card or a PO.

If you have any questions regarding this program or how to obtain the part number and pricing from the website, please contact Jeff Koh at 800/639-1319.

TICUA consolidates the purchasing power of our 37 private, not-for-profit campuses in Tennessee to provide TICUA  members the option of purchasing select products at a discount. To defray administrative costs, TICUA  in some cases, may receive a modest amount under agreements made with the companies in the TICUA procurement program.
