TICUA is pleased to announce a partnership with Professional Insurance Services, LLC. (PISLLC), John Hancock Life Insurance Company (John Hancock) and Phyllis Shelton with GOT LTCi on the offering of a new TICUA agreement for Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCi) Program designed specifically for TICUA members. Prior to finalizing the offering we spoke with several states that have offered programs of this nature – including the very successful endorsed program at one of TICUA’s sister associations in Pennsylvania. In short, we think this offering will offer a very flexible and robust employee benefit that can be universally offered to any TICUA member on a contributory or non-contributory basis.
As you may know Long-Term Care Insurance is a growing interest for employees who are seeking long term protection of assets as they enter their retirement years. Anyone who has dealt with an aging parent knows that traditional health insurance, social security, retirement income and other government programs simply do not fill the financial gaps created when assisted-living, in-home care and nursing-home care is needed.
Among other benefits, the TICUA LTCi program is designed to give each TICUA member access to premium discounts and generous group-based underwriting concessions. We have chosen to work with PISLLC, GOT LTCi and John Hancock as they have adapted their employer LTCi offerings to suit the varied needs of our member organization.

TICUA consolidates the purchasing power of our 35 private, not-for-profit campuses in Tennessee to provide TICUA members the option of purchasing select products at a discount. To defray administrative costs, TICUA in some cases, may receive a modest amount under agreements made with the companies in the TICUA procurement program.
