Tennesseeís Private Colleges and Universities Association Announces $41,000 Gift from the PACCAR Foundation
July 24, 2007, Nashville, TN—The Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA) announces today the gift of $41,000 from the PACCAR Foundation.
“We are grateful to the PACCAR Foundation for continuing to support Tennessee’s private colleges and universities,” said Dr. Claude Pressnell, President of TICUA. “This gift will be used to serve our colleges and universities through advocacy and member services.”
Since 1974, TICUA has received more than $325,000 from the PACCAR Foundation. Previous gifts have been used to provide direct support to TICUA member colleges and universities, and provide advocacy support and member services for TICUA.
The PACCAR Foundation is a private foundation formed in 1951. The Foundation usually directs its grants for capital campaigns involving acquisition or improvement of facilities used for social and health services, education and cultural affairs. TICUA member colleges and universities enroll nearly 65,000 students across the state. TICUA membership includes 2 two-year colleges, 32 four-year colleges and universities, and 3 professional colleges.
