Southern Adventist University encourages students to balance intellectual development with service to humanity and a growing relationship with Jesus. The 1,300-acre coeducational, residential campus is located just east of Chattanooga along the forested slopes of White Oak Mountain. Biology, business, social work, nursing, art, and religion are popular areas of study. Pre-professional programs include several allied health fields and engineering. Southern has a strong record of acceptances into medical, dental, and law schools. A symphony orchestra, concert band, choral groups, and gymnastics team tour internationally.
