Lipscomb University is a Christian community of scholars, dedicated to excellence
in learning, leading, and serving where students prepare for success today,
tomorrow, and forever. The Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher
Education classifies Lipscomb University in the 7% of schools in the nation that
offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master's and doctoral programs.
Bachelor's degree areas of study include majors in the liberal arts, business,
biology/pre-med, computer science, education, engineering, and nursing. Master's
degrees are offered in a variety of study areas including accounting, business, civic
leadership, conflict management, counseling, education, exercise and nutrition
science, psychology, leadership and public service, sustainability, and theological
studies among others. Doctoral degrees are offered in ministry, pharmacy, and
education. Located in Nashville, Lipscomb draws on the city as its campus and the
world as its classroom. Study abroad opportunities are offered in Vienna, Florence,
London, Chile, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Buenos Aires as well as other international
destinations. Lipscomb's intercollegiate athletic teams compete at the NCAA
Division I level, and Lipscomb is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
