Serving as a living memorial to President Abraham Lincoln, LMU is dedicated to providing strong educational programs grounded in the liberal arts and professional studies, which advance the principles exemplified by the life of Mr. Lincoln. The Univer sity promotes the concept of service to humanity and is committed to making educational opportunities available to all persons without reference to economic status. The curriculum is based on the belief that graduates must be able to communicate effectively, understand the world around them, and be able to exercise informed judg ments. LMU’s location in the historic Cumberland Gap enables students to enjoy a scenic natural area as they pursue their studies. In addition to the main campus in Harrogate, LMU offers programs and classes at 12 extended sites.
