King College is a Presbyterian, master's-level comprehensive college structured on a university model. The College offers more than 80 majors, minors, preprofessional degrees and concentrations in fields such as business, nursing, law, medical and health sciences, pharmacy, digital media, education, and humanities. Graduate programs are offered in business administration, education, and nursing. A number of internship and travel destinations are also available. King offers programs specifically designed with the adult learner in mind through the College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies & Online Programs, which is offered at 14 locations across Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee, including online degree options. King is a NCAA Division II School and Conference Carolinas member. For the 23rd consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has recognized King among the best colleges in the nation, and for the second year, King was named a Best Regional University. The Princeton Review named King one of the Best Colleges in the Southeast for a ninth consecutive year. King has been selected by G.I. Jobs for the fourth year as a Military Friendly School. The Department of Education and the Corporation for National and Community Service named King to the 2012 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, for their commitment to bettering their community through community service and service learning.
