Christian Brothers University, founded in 1871, is a Catholic institution of higher education in the tradition of the Christian Brothers. It is the largest private, comprehensive university in west Tennessee, emphasizing excellence in teaching and individualized attention to the whole person in a values-oriented interfaith educational community.
